I have been using computers since Windows 3.1, where icons were the big addition to the operating system. Always in school we used apple computers.
Last year, my dell laptop had been acting funny. I finally caved and bought a macbook precisely one year ago. It’s cool, a lot smaller (I couldn’t afford the larger models, even as a student)
The tragic flaw was, for some of the homework I needed to do, I needed windows. I would have to switch back and forth between laptops, or go use the windows computers in the library. This was always a pain.
It’s become aware to me that different households have different rules on the fridge. At my house, theres an open fridge, meaning anyone can take stuff out of it. However, if you have leftovers, they are usually yours, unless your relinquish them to someone else. How do you work this out?
Does anyone remember that episode of Seinfeld where the library police came after Jerry for not returning “Tropic of Capricorn?” Well, as it would turn out the library police do in reality exist, and they do make arrests. Have you noticed recently what has happened to the cell phone? It used to be this great device to get in touch with people via the telephone, hence the phone part. But they keep putting more parts into these phones. It’s like adding more genes to a human: the more you add, the more likely the phone is going to be mentally challenged.
Recently, a huge number of people and places are talking about how good The Prius and other “environmentally friendly” some cars are. This is also what Toyota wants you to think. But seriously think again, because you aren’t saving any sap, you are one.
It’s an election year, which means most television coverage is given to politics and current issues at hand. The sad part about this, more people will most likely watch American Idol than vote in the election. This is the sad state of america, but the solution? We should get rid of the electoral college, and vote via text message to Ryan Seacrest.
