The gas chamber was used for the first time as a method of execution in the United States on Gee Jon, a gangster in Nevada on this day in history 1924.

President Jimmy Carter revealed his plan to reinstate selective service draft registration in the year 1980.

On this day in history 1990 our good friend Jimmy was born, happy birthday.
